Whether you're looking to take your training to the next level or you simply want a better way to measure energy expenditure, a power meter is your best bet. And, the Power Cranks Ultegra Upgrade Kit is no exception. With our lightweight power sensors on a Shimano Ultegra crankarm, it's the perfect way to enter the power meter game. The development of Power Cranks began with our Human Performance Team looking at riders in realistic scenarios on the bike. Historically, power meters have been validated by two different methods—one is by measuring the produced torque by applying a static, linear load to a crank arm or chainring, while the second uses a power generating motor to pedal the bike. Well, cycling is neither static nor linear, and humans apply power much differently than a machine. So, we found that neither of these methods answer the "real-world" accuracy question. To get the best test for accuracy, in all types of riding scenarios, we built our own cycling treadmill, the WinMill, to measure power output to a known truth. This new benchmark lets us evaluate accuracy under all riding conditions—seated versus standing, various power and cadence levels, different weights, and carrying various types of gear. This data acquisition process is our gold-standard for testing power meters, and through our testing and external validation from the Locomotion lab in Boulder, Colorado, Power Cranks have been proven to have the highest accuracy in real world scenarios (+/- 1.5%). The Power Cranks are also easy to live with, with class-leading temperature compensation firmware and waterproof enclosures. Calibration is only required during seasonal-type fluctuations in temperature, and the included wrench makes battery swaps a breeze. - -/+ 1.5% real-world accuracy tested on the WinMill and validated by the Locomotion Lab in Boulder, CO. - Works with ANT+ and Bluetooth devices. - Easy set-up and diagnostics with the Specialized Power app (iOS and Android versions available). - Shimano 8000 generation Ultegra left-side power measurement. - Right crank arm and chainring NOT included.

No matter your skill level or experience on the bike, there's no better way to enhance your training and racing performance than by riding with a power meter. Lucky for you, Specialized has combined their incredibly light and stiff carbon fiber S-Works road cranks with dual-sided power measurement, making it the lightest (440g/172.5mm) and most accurate power meter available. The development of Power Cranks began with Specialized's Human Performance Team looking at riders in realistic scenarios on the bike. Historically, power meters have been validated by two different methods—one is by measuring the produced torque by applying a static, linear load to a crankarm or chainring, while the second uses a power generating motor to pedal the bike. Well, cycling is neither static nor linear, and humans apply power much differently than a machine. So, they found that neither of these methods answer the "real-world" accuracy question. To get the best test for accuracy, in all types of riding scenarios, Specialized built their own cycling treadmill, the WinMill, to measure power output to a known truth. This new benchmark lets them evaluate accuracy under all riding conditions—seated versus standing, various power and cadence levels, different weights, and a myriad of gear. This data acquisition process is their gold-standard for testing power meters, and through their testing and external validation from the Locomotion lab in Boulder, Colorado, Power Cranks have been proven to have the highest accuracy in real world scenarios (+/- 1.5%). The Dual-Sided S-Works Power Cranks utilize separate strain gauge systems to individually measure the effort produced by each leg. This maximizes the accuracy of your total power numbers, plus it helps you to better understand your performance as fatigue increases and when you're recovering from injury. And with class-leading temperature compensation firmware and waterproof enclosures, Power Cranks are easy to live with. Calibration is only required during seasonal-type fluctuations in temperature, and the included wrench makes battery swaps a breeze. - +/-1.5% real-world accuracy tested on the WinMill and validated by the Locomotion Lab in Boulder, CO. - Independent, dual-leg power measurement. - Works with ANT+ and Bluetooth devices. - Easy set-up and diagnostics with the Specialized Power app. (iOS and Android versions available). - Hollow carbon crankarms, carbon spider, and oversized alloy spindle offer superior stiffness and lighter weight than the competition—440 grams for 172.5mm crankarm length. - Fits Specialized road frames with OSBB or PF30 bottom bracket shell, as well as most BB30 road frames. - 110 BCD carbon spider (also compatible with 130 BCD carbon spider—sold separately). - Compatible with Shimano and SRAM drivetrains. Designed to work seamlessly with the new wave of 2×10 drivetrains, the 2x utilizes MRP's patented integrated skid chainring protection (US Patents RE 42,436 / 8,235,849 Patents Pending) and features a dual pulley tensioning system. Notable on the 2x system is the absence of a crank-mounted bash guard or guide ring, instead it relies on the front derailleur and cutting-edge lower pulley assembly for complete chain retention. The integrated skid protects the chainrings from impacts without the added weight of a full bash ring. The dual pulley tensioning system ensures that the chain is properly tensioned and in the right position, keeping it on the chainring in the roughest conditions. The dual pulleys also reduce drag and noise compared to other designs, ensuring a better riding experience. Finally, the raised top fin profile prevents the chain from dropping to the BB shell. - Removable integrated skid protects chainrings and glides over rocks and obstacles - Dual pulley design provides precise chain engagement while reducing noise and drag - Raised top fin profile prevents the chain from dropping to the BB shell - BB mounted guides are only compatible with traditional, threaded BB systems

The design of the four arm carbon fiber cranksets that so well identify the Super Record, Record and Chorus groupsets has also found its way into the fantastic Campagnolo Potenza 11 drivetrain, albeit in an aluminum construction. The Potenza crankset is made with both left and right crank arms in hollow forged aluminum to keep weight to a minimum while maintaining the same performance characteristics of its carbon fiber counterparts. Potenza’s four arm spider design makes for one single crankarm for all chainring options thanks to its unified bolt pattern which allows for all three chainring standards 53/39, 52/36 and 50/34 to be built upon the same crankset. Changing between compact and standard with the Potenza groupset is as easy as changing eight bolts and two chainrings. While the 4-arm bolt pattern offers advantages in terms of practicality, the Campy Tech Lab designed it primarily with performance characteristics in mind. The eight bolt pattern with a spider arm design that not only holds the chainring in place by way of the bolt but also supports the chainring and in doing so, increases system rigidity to the point of surpassing its direct competitors in laboratory tests. -Double standardized bolt circle diameter allows for use of standard, mid-compact and compact chainrings -Power-Torque system have drive-side bearing pre-installed. The non-drive bearing comes pre-installed in the bottom bracket cup -Power-Torque Plus system utilizes a self extracting crank bolt for easy disassembly -Requires use of Power-Torque bottom bracket cups -Features Campagnolo X.P.S.S. (eXtreme Performance Shifting System) featuring geometrically optimized chainring teeth. Optimized when mated to a full Campagnolo drivetrain -Power-Torque system uses a single piece axle fixed to the drive-side crank arm which allows for simplicity and a light weight and rigid axle
